Its been a month since my Dad has been out of the hospital after his triple coronary heart bypass surgery.
The Kokilabhen Dhirubhai Ambani Hospital (KDAH) is a relatively new hospital that started early Jan and is ramping up.
The attending Cardio vascular heart surgeon was Dr Pradeep Nambiar. A very committed professional who is easily accessible. I have seen him working late nights till 10 pm and even on Sundays. Returns our calls and kept us updated all through his stay. I think his open and approachable style is a surprise from his contemporaries.
My father's cardiologist is Dr Jamshed Dalal("Jimmy") and he is really good. He gave us appropriate and timely advise and keep us focused. He got us spectrum of opinions from specialists to see we were informed
My dad was on the ventilator for over 7 days after surgery, so we had our share of anxious moments . ICU doctors team were pretty hardworking and top notch and the nursing staff was pretty good too. I would judge a hospital by its post operative care and they came out as a winner in this case
One can never thank them all enough. A have a new found respect for the medical community. It is a tough job
