Tour of Nepal 2012

After the trip to Leh, Ladakh courtesy the the Royal Enfield - Himalayan Odyssey 2011, I got the need to get out and get some fresh air.

Riding across the border to Nepal seemed interesting to say the least and probably brought the element of mystery and adventure in addition to explore the other ranges of Himalayas that lie east of Ladakh.

I made a couple of calls to Adarsh and Santosh to check on the ride plans as well as the listed riders. The website had not been updated and it appeared a few had signed up. However I was assured that they were close to double digit enrollments and we would have sufficient number of riders with us.

With Santosh leading the trip, it was some comfort as I had done the Himalayan Odyssey 2011 with Sachin Chavan, Adarsh and him. 

Next big task was to convince folks at home and work and most importantly getting the bike in shape.

The Bangalore has about 10 riders out of the total 60 and we met up a couple of times to sort out the inventory to take on our trip.

Preparations are in progress and gear is being procured. More on it later.
